Adobe premiere pro kickass mac. I find that when trying to bring a clip up from the event browser to the timeline, unless I place it just right I wind up getting only the sound track and not the clip with video.

Some of these commands are still around in the new version, but you have to do some serious looking to find them.

Where in the past it was easy, using the Projects and Events folders to find materials for a given project and its related event and save them to an external drive, now Apple is using just a Library structure and I am still trying to figure out how that works and where I can find a folder with all the clips for an event. I was reduced recently to having to burn 2.5 hours of raw video into a single clip so I can move it over to Final Cut Pro and take it back apart.

Adjusting the viewer window I found through trial and error.it can only be sized by fixed ratio by sliding your cursor over the bottom of the viewer frame until it changes image and then sliding that frame bar up or down. No grabbing corners, sides or top.

To their credit, O'Reilly did give me free access to the eletronic version of the book but for the most part, they haven't yet caught up with the huge changes wrought by Apple. Huge chunks of it still include features and screens that are no longer part of the 10.0.2 revision.

Worse yet, given Apple's penchant for making changes like this and providing 'help' screens that aren't much help, if I were O'Reilly, I'd be wary of even trying to do an update. By the time they get it done, Apple is likely to create another massive kludge like this one. Maddening all round!!!

I have sent a blistering feedback note to Apple. No response. Virtually nothing of what they have done improves the software in any real way and it is done in a way which leaves prior users stumbling in the dark trying to figure out what they have changed and how to use what is left. Maddening.

Turn your videos into movie magic.
